Haunama Bay Nature Preserve

Calling all PAAC Clubs and After-School Classes!
Join PAAC for a day of service learning. Learn about the global migration of  microplastics and the harm they cause to our oceans and aquatic life.  Take action by sifting for these microplastics at Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve.

Wait, what are microplastics? Microplastics are pieces of plastic, less than 5 millimeters long. They come from a variety of sources, including large pieces of plastic that have degraded and microbeads found in beauty products. This Global Action Project is brought to you in collaboration with the Hanauma Bay Education Program and the University of Hawaii Sea Grant College Program.

As of March 28th, we reached maximum capacity for this activity.
You can still send in your registration, but you will be put on a waitlist.

Register by April 5th! Space is limited to first 120 registrants.
