High School Program

Students preparing for PAAC's 12th Annual Chevron Academic WorldQuest Competition. The 2011 theme was on APEC and APEC economies

Bringing the World to Hawaii’s Youth!

PAAC’s core program is to engage high school students and teachers through classes, inter-school conferences, competitions, teacher workshops, thought-provoking simulations, and travel that foster a greater awareness of history, foreign policy, economics, and social issues in the Asia/Pacific region: and to inspire these students to become leaders with a broader understanding of Hawaii’s place in the world.

Our programs introduce students to critical global issues, foster appreciation and respect for diversity while learning how to find similarities and bridge differences, cultivate understanding of the impact of one’s choices in shaping the future, and develop leadership and critical thinking skills, and an international perspective necessary for success in the 21st century global economy.
