Global Vision Summit

2013 Global Vision Summit: EcoTipping Points
Over 150 students representing 18 high schools on Oahu, Maui, and Hawai’i Island came together on February 2nd to learn about ecological cycles and systems thinking.  Students then examined real-world case studies (in Thailand, India, and New York) and explored how these communities have faced ecological adversity and how positive change was implemented.  They also met local professionals who work in preservation and conservation related fields, opening doors to future career options.  Click here for more information on the EcoTipping Points Project.

Students commented:
- “I didn’t expect the conference to be so amazing, fun, interesting, and inspiring, but it was.  It was an overall great experience!”

- “This conference was really fun and enabled us to meet people from other islands.”

- “I now believe that all students should be educated about the world because it will be beneficial when we start looking for jobs in the bigger world beyond school.”
