PAAC holds its annual dinner, A Global Affair, every February at the Kahala Hotel & Resort. During this special evening, PAAC honors an individual or organization that has contributed significantly to the improvement of relations between the United States and its neighbors in Asia and the Pacific, with the Paul S. Bachman Award.

On February 9, 2012, the Pacific and Asian Affairs Council honored Hawaii International Film Festival and Executive Director, Chuck Boller, with the Paul S. Bachman Memorial Award and Stephanie Mc Candless Reford with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

As Chairman of PAAC, Warren Luke has supported global education for Hawaii’s youth for over 25 years. Under his leadership, PAAC has expanded programming for Hawaii students.
