Kathryn Fisher (Nanakuli High), Dennis Tynan (Nanakuli High), and Carl Kim (Kaimuki High) spent two weeks in Turkey, learning about history and culture to enhance their social studies curriculum. Beginning in Istanbul, they traveled to the western part of Turkey,ending in Ankara by way of Cappadocia.
In collaboration with the Suu Foundation and the East-West Center, PAAC Club Advisor Jeremiah Brown (Waipahu High) returned to Myanmar for the second year of the TexT program to train Burmese educators on best practices of teaching, with two other Hawai`i teachers – Gerald Kolbeck (Lunalilo Elem) and Sharooni Wong (Punahou School).
