what people are saying about paac…

“PAAC has opened up many opportunities for me and greatly influenced my future goals. Through PAAC, I was able to be more involved in local and global communities while also being able to gain a greater understanding of global and local issues. I became interested in current events after being part of PAAC's After School Global Studies Class. I got to meet diverse groups of students who were also part of PAAC and held discussions with them to hear different perspectives and viewpoints on a plethora of issues. I have been able to face and overcome my fears such as public speaking as I participated in PAAC events and programs. Furthermore, my participation in PAAC has inspired me to pursue a career in international affairs/international relations because I learned that I was capable of making big and small changes in the world and I hope to continue doing so.”

“PAAC taught me how to be a global citizen. Through PAAC Club, I’ve studied global issues and collaborated with my fellow club members to create local service projects addressing the UN Sustainable Development Goals, making a positive difference in our community. Beyond my school community, I’ve connected with professionals in the area of global studies and even traveled to South Korea with PAAC to broaden my knowledge about the world through firsthand experience. I’ve discovered through my PAAC community how important (and exciting!) it is to be a global citizen. In college, I want to continue learning and applying my knowledge to solve global issues at the local level and beyond to make the world a safer, more equitable place.”
